A number of settings are available to assist you with file and quota handling in Mahara. These are available from the file plugin configuration page.

From Site Administration -> Extensions -> Plugin Administration, select the option for artefact: file: file: config

Default Quota

This is the initial quota size for new users. Changing this setting will only modify the quota for new users and existing users will not be altered at all.

Maximum Quota

If you operate an installation with a large number of institutions, each with its own administrator, you may find this setting particularly useful. You can specify the maximum quota that an institution administrator can assign to any given user.

Note: This does not affect existing users. If you have users with large quotas, their quota will not be reduced by changing this setting.

Upload Agreement

You may want to customise the agreement users have to agree to before uploading files. You may even want to remove it entirely.
