This is funded by Plane. Essentially the functionality of 'View' tags has been duplicated for groups. A group can be given tags in the same way as a view. Group tags are visible and combined with view and artefact tags in the UI for selecting tags. Only a group admin can edit the tags however.
At present there is no interaction with tags belonging to a view that belongs to a group.
