Agenda for the 79th Mahara developer meeting on Wednesday, 3 June 2020, 7:30 UTC
We will meet using Big Blue Button (Kristina will initiate the call).
Our #mahara-dev channel on Freenode IRC will be our backup or in case there are problems with the web conferencing tool and we'll need to chat to resolve it. If you don't have an IRC client, you can join us using your web browser.

Kristina talked about the Mahara 20.04 release
- got release out on time while under lockdown and duress of COVID-19
- Russell liking the SSO changes in the new version
- new 20.04 changes are documented in manual https://manual.mahara.org/en/20.04/new.html
- new feature PDF export
- Robert mentioned issues with PDF export and how it is an experimental feature
New business
- Russell brought up the problem of MNET / xmlrpc where pages whose titles contain special multibyte characters not working with assignment submission. The pages are not being listed on the Moodle side.
- Kristina mentioned LTI as alternative to using MNet.
- Also need to check if the same problem exists there as well
Things held over from 20.04 for the upcoming 20.10 release
- WCAG 2.1 work
- Submission to groups enhancements
- progress completion enhancements
- portfolio locking - making pages / blocks have instruction and locking them so make pages be custom templates
Russell said that he will be actively looking into Resume changes
- some of the fields need changing / removing
- look at making resume fields custom fields with admin settings to allow for setting which ones to use for a site
- discussed turning existing ones into custom fields as well
- Russell to report back on progress at next meeting
